What I am Loving the Week [2]
- As a SAHM I often feel like I am always doing something but never get anything done. I feel like my husband thinks nothing gets accomplished during the day and then I feel bad, even though he has never mentioned this to me. So we sat down this week and talked about what I need to feel accomplished during the day. So now I am working through the list everyday! It’s so nice to have a plan and know that hey, if all I do is get the girls to school and pick them up, I am accomplishing the most important tasks of the day.
-
Caffeinated Greens. Ihave been drinking these for a few years and I love them. I am sensitive to caffeine and do not get the shakes. (houseonpennylane will give you a 10% discount) These greens do not taste like trash. lol. They actually taste like the flavor you choose.
- Paradise on Hulu. If you are fan of dystopian end of the world type shows this is FOR YOU! I watch a lot of tv. I am a night owl and will watch entire seasons in one night. This is one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. There are currently 4 episodes out. If you have watched it, tell me what you think!
- Hash browns. lol. I have been getting frozen hash browns from Aldi, they taste just like a McDonalds hash brown and that joy in the morning is unmatched.
- Speaking of mornings, I have been switching up my morning coffee to a salted vanilla honey latte and it has been great. I add honey to my cup, brew the espresso, and top with a salted vanilla foam. It is delicious.
- Read alouds. Just because your kids are getting older and can read does not mean you stop reading to them. I have been reading The Boxcar Children to them every night and they love it. They love that the book is mine from when I was their age, it’s such a nice time to connect after a long day.
- Reorganizing the kitchen cabinets. I don’t know about you but after a while things just get thrown in there and it becomes a game of Tetris and wondering if something is going to fall out when you open the door. So I took the time to reorganize the coffee cup cabinet and get rid of any cups we don’t use anymore. (Can we please normalize not giving people cups, I cannot handle anymore)
-
- Tulips. My husband brought home a potted tulip plant from the grocery store and it’s just a nice little pop of joy to the house.
- Survivor. I have watched survivor since I was 10 years old. It was a show I watched with my mom, now I am watching old seasons with my girls. It’s such a fun full circle moment. They love to choose a tribe to root for and its fun to see who their favorite players are.
-
The Let Them Theory, by Mel Robbins. Holy crap this book is changing my life little by little. It’s such an easy way to shift your mindset. I have been listening to it while I’m in the shower and while I drink my coffee. It’s a great way to start the day with intentionality.
Well that’s all I got for the week. What are some of the things you have enjoyed this week??
Hope you have a great weekend!!!
