What I am Loving the Week [2]

  1. As a SAHM I often feel like I am always doing something but never get anything done. I feel like my husband thinks nothing gets accomplished during the day and then I feel bad, even though he has never mentioned this to me. So we sat down this week and talked about what I need to feel accomplished during the day. So now I am working through the list everyday! It’s so nice to have a plan and know that hey, if all I do is get the girls to school and pick them up, I am accomplishing the most important tasks of the day.
  2. Caffeinated Greens.  Ihave been drinking these for a few years and I love them. I am sensitive to caffeine and do not get the shakes. (houseonpennylane will give you a 10% discount) These greens do not taste like trash. lol. They actually taste like the flavor you choose.
  3. Paradise on Hulu. If you are fan of dystopian end of the world type shows this is FOR YOU! I watch a lot of tv. I am a night owl and will watch entire seasons in one night. This is one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. There are currently 4 episodes out. If you have watched it, tell me what you think!
  4. Hash browns. lol. I have been getting frozen hash browns from Aldi, they taste just like a McDonalds hash brown and that joy in the morning is unmatched.
  5. Speaking of mornings, I have been switching up my morning coffee to a salted vanilla honey latte and it has been great. I add honey to my cup, brew the espresso, and top with a salted vanilla foam. It is delicious.
  6. Read alouds. Just because your kids are getting older and can read does not mean you stop reading to them. I have been reading The Boxcar Children to them every night and they love it. They love that the book is mine from when I was their age, it’s such a nice time to connect after a long day.
  7. Reorganizing the kitchen cabinets. I don’t know about you but after a while things just get thrown in there and it becomes a game of Tetris and wondering if something is going to fall out when you open the door. So I took the time to reorganize the coffee cup cabinet and get rid of any cups we don’t use anymore. (Can we please normalize not giving people cups, I cannot handle anymore)
  8. Tulips. My husband brought home a potted tulip plant from the grocery store and it’s just a nice little pop of joy to the house.
  9. Survivor. I have watched survivor since I was 10 years old. It was a show I watched with my mom, now I am watching old seasons with my girls. It’s such a fun full circle moment. They love to choose a tribe to root for and its fun to see who their favorite players are.
  10. The Let Them Theory, by Mel Robbins. Holy crap this book is changing my life little by little. It’s such an easy way to shift your mindset. I have been listening to it while I’m in the shower and while I drink my coffee. It’s a great way to start the day with intentionality.

Well that’s all I got for the week. What are some of the things you have enjoyed this week??

Hope you have a great weekend!!!
